Sexuality: Bisexual (heavy 'heterosexual tendencies'), but has a somewhat 'young' view on the matter, so tends to come across as almost asexual/uninterested for now.

Appearance: Maria stands 5'3" tall, with a slender frame of around 100 lbs, her entire figure generally being light and soft. Her eyes are large and a clear, bright shade of blue, and her hair a darkish gold-blonde colour. She wears it wavy and held back with a blue hair band. Clothes-wise, she wears neat dark blue jeans, a grey top with a blue collar and a blue stripe about the chest and a cropped pink jacket. She has pierced ears, with a small red stud in one ear and a small blue one in the other, one to symbolise herself and one to symbolise Shadow- a 'friendship charm', in a way. Her shoes are low heeled black pumps.

Personality: Maria is eternally cheerful, optimistic and kind hearted. She can see the good in almost anyone or anything, and she finds it easier than most to forgive and forget, not to mention trust. By no means does she trust unconditionally, not any more, but she still believes that there's good in all people if only you look hard. Though admittedly under schooled, she's still reasonably intelligent and very bright, especially in terms of vocabulary and literature. On top of this she's especially curious, and enjoys learning. She's also a very determined and motivated individual; once she starts something she's generally in it for the long haul. Loyalty comes in as a big motivator for her actions a lot of the time, whether to friends, family or anyone else. Maria has less of a tendency to be naive or romantic about people or ideas than she used to, though that aspect of her personality does definitely still remain.

Abilities/Strengths: Maria has a tendency to be reasonably perceptive, can learn quickly and due to her ability to look on the bright side is mentally very stable and as such she's able to go through quite a lot without too many side effects. She has something of a calming presence on people, possessing good social skills. She knows basic first aid.

Weaknesses: Physically, Maria is weak- not able to defend herself well or to run quickly. Her illness may be partway through being treated but is still an aspect that negatively effects her life. As stated above, her schooling has been pretty sporadic and so her knowledge follows suit. She's kind of behind on some modern things still, because even 3 years isn't long enough to learn 50 years worth of technology and events (or pop culture, etc.). She can still be too trusting and naive, as well as maybe a little reliant on other people at times- perhaps that is to be expected from a 15 year old, however.

Notable Possessions: The earrings hold sentimental value to her. She also possesses a photograph of herself, Shadow and Gerald on the ARK.
